Anchorage Metro Area industry wages have increased by 14.8% percent since 2001

From the second quarter of 2001 to the second quarter of 2006, industry wages have increased in the Anchorage Metro Area by a total of 14.8%. This is greater than the growth in industry wages for the State of Alaska and less than the growth in industry wages across the US.

Anchorage Metro Area Industry Wages Exceed Alaska, but Wages Lag Behind the United States Industry Wages

Total wages in all industries in Anchorage, AK can be understood as being relatively high when analyzed with other 2nd quarter of 2006 Metro Area wages throughout the US. The average pay is 2.4 percent higher than the with an state average of $39,041. The average pay was less than the national industry average of $40,259.
