In the year 2005, the population division of U.S. Census Bureau estimates the median age in Fairbanks North Star Borough, Alaska to be 29.7 years old. The median age in Fairbanks North Star is less than the median in Alaska of 33.9. Since 2000, the area has experienced an increase in the median age, when it was 29.4 years old.
