In 2005, the Census Bureau estimated the median age in Sitka Borough, Alaska to be 36.9 years old. The median in Sitka is greater than the median age in the State of Alaska of 33.9. Since 2000, the area has experienced an increase in the median, when the median age was 35.3 years old.
