Higher Education in Lowndes County, Alabama

According to the 2000 Decennial Census in Lowndes County, Alabama, the most common level of education achieved in the area for the male population is the High School Diploma category, with 38.4 percent receiving this level of education. The women in Lowndes have attainment on average a greater level of higher education (Bachelors Degree or Higher) than the male population-- 8.4 percent (Men) versus 13 percent (Women).
