Decatur Metro Area industry wages have increased by 13.5% percent since 2001

Industry wages, from 2001 to 2006, have increased in the Decatur Metro Area by a total of 13.5%. This is less than the growth in industry wages for Alabama and less than the growth in industry wages for the nation as a whole.

Decatur Metro Area Industry Wages Exceed Alabama, but Wages Lag Behind the United States Industry Wages

The average total wages in all industries in Decatur, AL can be described as medium-high when analyzed with other 2nd quarter of 2006 Metro Area wages throughout the US. The average pay is 1.5 percent higher than the state, which was reported to be $34,182. The overall industry wage was less than the national industry average of $40,259.
