People with jobs in the management of companies and enterprises industry reported the top wages in Sevier County for the 2nd quarter of 2006. The average worker in the industry in Sevier County was paid an annual wage of $108,328 in 2nd quarter of 2006. Sevier County Five-Year Percentage Growth in Employment

The Logging industry has experienced the largest percentage growth, expanding by 57.1 percent from the 2001 (Q2) to the 2006 (Q2). This industry in Sevier County has added employment faster than the growth seen in the industry for Arkansas, where the industry felt a loss of 12.2 percent. The Activities related to real estate industry has lost the largest amount of employment in terms of percentage, losing 36.6 percent from 2005 (Q2) to 2006 (Q2). The losses of the area have declined faster than the industry sector has felt in the State of Arkansas, where the industry felt a gain of 2.7 percent. The losses in the Activities related to real estate industry in Sevier County outpaced the US in terms of percent of decline of industry employment. The US gained 4.1 percent in terms of employment in the Activities related to real estate industry.

Income and Poverty in Sevier County, Arkansas

Higher Education in Sevier County, Arkansas

Sevier County, Arkansas may to understood as having a less-educated population, with 9.2 percent of the population over 25 years old having received at least a Bachelors Degree, according to the Decennial Census of 2000. Sevier counted a lower percent of individuals with higher educations than the State of Arkansas's proportion of 16.6 percent and a lower percent than United States proportion of 24.4 percent.

Demographic Profile for Sevier County, Arkansas

Sevier County, Arkansas had a population that was estimated at 16,456 in 2005. The total population has increased, since its 2000 population of 15,744. This growth represents an increase of 4.5 percent. Sevier ranks 23 of 75 counties when calculating total change in population for Arkansas and the county ranks 1,257 of 3,141 counties when calculating the total change in county population across the US.

Estimated since the year 2000, a very high amount of people have migrated to Sevier from another country. The international migration into Sevier makes up 2.9 percent of the total migration into the State of Arkansas.
