The median has &lt;I&gt;&lt;B&gt;decreased&lt;/B&gt;&lt;/I&gt; to $44,282, posting a 6.7 percent &lt;I&gt;&lt;B&gt;decline&lt;/B&gt;&lt;/I&gt;. The State of Arizona ranks 20 of 46 states when analyzing the &lt;I&gt;&lt;B&gt;decline&lt;/B&gt;&lt;/I&gt; in median income level for the United States.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;As the median income level saw a decline in the last five year in the State of Arizona, the Race/Ethnicity group that went through the most dramatic decline in household income was the &lt;I&gt;American Indian and Alaska Native&lt;/I&gt; Race/Ethnicity category. This category went through a decline of 49.1 percent in the last five years. The &lt;I&gt;Hispanic&lt;/I&gt; Race/Ethnicity category has been least effected by the income level decline in Arizona, seeing a 21.1 percent increase in household income level, since the year 2005.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In the State of Arizona, &lt;I&gt;White&lt;/I&gt; householders had a median income (2005 Dollars) of $49,682 as reported in 2000 by the census, which was 4.7 percent greater than the median income in 2000. The &lt;I&gt;Asian&lt;/I&gt; householders in the area have reported their median household incomes at $53,588. This income level is 12.9 percent greater than the reported median for all households in the state. By the year 2005, 27.6 percent of total male population (over 25), in this area, held at least a Bachelors Degree. At the same time, the percent of women (over 25) holding a BA or higher has increased by a total of 2.2 percent. By the year 2005, a total of 23.6 percent of the women in the population had received a Bachelors Degree or Higher.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In the State of Arizona as reported in the American Community Survey of the year 2005, 27.8 percent of the &lt;I&gt;White Alone&lt;/I&gt;, 20.8 percent of &lt;I&gt;Black or African American&lt;/I&gt;, 51.6 percent of the &lt;I&gt;Asian alone&lt;/I&gt; and 8.8 percent of the &lt;I&gt;Hispanic or Latino&lt;/I&gt; population (over 25) has obtained a Bachelors Degree or Higher.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Since the year 2000, the State of Arizona has increased in the percent of the population that is over the age of 25 with a BA or Higher. This population cohort has grown by 2.0 percent to a total of 25.6 percent in 2005, as reported by the American Community Survey.
