In Pima County, jobs in the securities and commodity contracts brokerage pay the highest wages

The Private households industry has lost the largest amount of employment in terms of percentage, losing 83.3 percent from 2005 (2nd Quarter) to 2006 (2nd Quarter). These losses have declined faster than the industry has seen in the Arizona, where the it saw a gain of 56.4 percent. Income and Poverty in Pima County, Arizona

Higher Education in Pima County, Arizona

Reported by the 2000 Census in Pima County, Arizona, a high proportion of the male population in the area have reached the Some College or Associates Degree category, with 33 percent achieving this level. The female population in Pima have attainment on average a lower level of higher education (Bachelors or Higher) than men; 29 percent (Men) versus 24.6 percent (Women). Many of the women in the area achieving a Some College or Associates Degree, with 33.8 percent of the female population achieving this education level.

Estimated since the year 2000, a high number of individual migrated to the Pima from outside the country. The immigration into Pima makes up 10.8 percent of all immigration into Arizona. This amount of international migration is high when analyzed against immigration per population in 2005.
