Income and Poverty in Yuma County, Arizona

Higher Education in Yuma County, Arizona

Between 2000 and 2005, the percent of the male population that can be understood as highly educated has increased by 1.0 percent. By 2005, 14 percent of total male population (over 25), in this area, held at least a Bachelors Degree. Yuma County, Arizona has a population that is made of 40.4 percent White, 1.8 percent African American, 0.9 percent Asian, and 55.1 percent Hispanic. The area population base can be described as having a very high level of diversity in terms of race and ethnicity, with 57.8 percent minorities.
