In Los Angeles County, jobs in the oil and gas extraction pay the highest wages

The average worker in the industry in Los Angeles County was paid an annual wage of $234,487 in 2006. Los Angeles County Wages have increased by 17.4% Since 2001

From the second quarter of 2001 to the second quarter of 2006, industry wages have increased in Los Angeles County, California by a total of 17.4%. This is greater than the growth in industry wages for California and greater than the growth in average wages for the US.
