Employment for all industries has increased by 17.9 percent since the 2nd Quarter of 2001. This is greater than percent in California, experiencing a gain of 2.8 percent since the 2nd Quarter of 2001. The gains in the area were greater than than the gain felt at the national level of 2.6 percent.

Income and Poverty in Placer County, California

The areas median household income has declined from the inflation-adjusted 2000 income levels. The income level has decreased to $62,080, which represents a 7.8 percent decline.
