The losses of the area have declined faster than the industry sector has gone through in the California, where the industry reported a loss of 71 percent. The losses in the &lt;I&gt;Unclassified&lt;/I&gt; industry in Santa Barbara-Santa Maria-Goleta outpaced the US in terms of percent of decline of industry employment.
