Income and Poverty in Routt County, Colorado

Routt County, Colorado has a population base that is comprised of 94.2 percent White, 0.5 percent African American, 0.5 percent Asian, and 3.7 percent Hispanic. The area population base can be described as having a very modest amount of racial and ethnic diversity, with 4.7 percent minorities. This is less than the State of Colorado percent of 25.6. Since 2000, Routt has increased the percent of minority makeup when 3.8 percent of the population were minorities.

Routt County, Colorado had a total estimated population of 21,313 in 2005. The estimated population has increased sharply, from the population in the year 2000 of 19,831.
