In DeSoto County, Florida White headed households reported household income (in 2005 Dollars) of $37,618 according to the 2000 Dencennial Census, which was 4.7 percent greater than the median in 2000. It was reported in 2000 that the Asian headed households had median household incomes of $112,336. The population division of the Census Bureau estimates in 2005 a median age in De Soto County, Florida to be 34.6 years old. The median in De Soto is less than the median age in Florida of 39.5.
