Income and Poverty in Wakulla County, Florida

Wakulla County, Florida has a population that is made of 84.2 percent White, 11.4 percent African American, 0.4 percent Asian, and 2.6 percent Hispanic. The area population base can be described as having a modest amount of racial and ethnic diversity, with 14.4 percent of the population being minorities. This is less than the State of Florida percent of 36.5. Since 2000, Wakulla has increased the level of diversity when 13.8 percent of the population were minorities.
