Income and Poverty in Clarke County, Georgia

Compared to other counties (and parishes) throughout the nation, Clarke County was reported to have a relatively low household income of $33,232 (2005 Dollars). Demographic Profile for Clarke County, Georgia

Clarke County, Georgia has a population base that is comprised of 61.3 percent White, 25.7 percent African American, 3.4 percent Asian, and 8.3 percent Hispanic. The area population base can be described as having a high level of diversity in terms of race and ethnicity, with 37.4 percent minorities. This is less than the State of Georgia percent of 39.2. Since 2000, Clarke has increased the percent of minority makeup when 36.8 percent of the total population were minorities.
