Income and Poverty in Coweta County, Georgia

Coweta County, Georgia has a population that is comprised of 75.9 percent White, 17 percent African American, 0.9 percent Asian, and 5.1 percent Hispanic. The area can be described as having a high level of diversity, with 23.0 percent minorities. This is less than the State of Georgia percent of 39.2. Since 2000, Coweta has increased in diversity when 21.9 percent of the population were minorities.

The U.S. Census Bureau, in the year 2005, estimated a median age in Coweta County, Georgia to be 34.0 years old. The median age in Coweta is less than the median age in the State of Georgia of 34.3. From 2000, the area has seen an increase in the median age, when it was 33.6 years old.
