Income and Poverty in Walton County, Georgia

In Walton County, Georgia White headed households reported household income (in 2005 Dollars) of $59,148 according to the 2000 Dencennial Census, which was 8.8 percent greater than the median household income in 2000. Walton County, Georgia had a total estimated population of 75,647 in 2005. The total population has increased very sharply, from the population in the year 2000 of 61,626. This growth represents an increase of 22.8 percent. Walton ranks 15 of 159 counties when calculating total change in population for Georgia and the county ranks 252 of 3,141 counties when calculating the total change in county population across the US.
