Employment for all industries has increased by 6.3 percent since the 2nd Quarter of 2001. This is greater than growth in the State of Iowa, which experienced a gain of 2.5 percent from 2001 (2nd Quarter). The gains in the area were greater than than the gain reported at the US level of 2.6 percent.

Kossuth County, Iowa has a population that is made up of 98.1 percent White, 0.2 percent African American, 0.4 percent Asian, and 1 percent Hispanic. This area can be considered to have a very modest level of diversity, with 1.6 percent of the population made up of minorities. This is less than the State of Iowa percent of 7.3.
