Sac County, Iowa has a population that is made up of 97.7 percent White, 0.4 percent African American, 0.2 percent Asian, and 1.3 percent Hispanic. The area population base can be described as having a very modest amount of racial and ethnic diversity, with 1.9 percent of minorities in the 2005 population base. This is less than the State of Iowa percent of 7.3. Since 2000, Sac has increased the percent of minority makeup when 1.3 percent of the population was made up of minorities.
