In Elmore County, jobs in the nonresidential building construction pay the highest wages

The Management and technical consulting services industry has experienced the largest percentage growth, expanding by 44.4 percent from the 2005 (Q2) to the 2006 (Q2). Income and Poverty in Elmore County, Idaho

Higher Education in Elmore County, Idaho

In Elmore County, Idaho according to the Decennial Census of 2000, 18 percent of the White Alone, 13.2 percent of Black or African American, 30.2 percent of the Asian alone and 8.4 percent of the Hispanic or Latino population, over the age 25, has achieved at least a Bachelors Degree.

Elmore County, Idaho has a moderately-educated working age population, with 17.4 percent of the over 25 years old population having a Bachelors Degree or Higher, according to the 2000 Decennial Census. Elmore was reported to have a lower percent of highly educated individuals than the State of Idaho's proportion of 21.6 percent and a lower percent than the national average of 24.4 percent.

The 2000 Decennial Census reported that in Elmore County, Idaho, the most common level of education achieved in the area for the male population is the Some College or Associates Degree category, with 50 percent obtaining this level of education. The women in Elmore have on average achieved a lower level of higher education (Bachelors or Higher) than men -- 17.8 percent (Men) versus 16.8 percent (Women). The largest educational attainment category for women is Some College or Associates Degree, with 38.6 percent of women in the area reaching this education level.

Demographic Profile for Elmore County, Idaho

Since the year 2000, a high amount of people have migrated to Elmore internationally. The international migration into Elmore totals 3.1 percent of immigration into the State of Idaho. This level of international migration can be considered high when comparing levels of immigration per population in 2005.

Elmore County, Idaho has a population that is made up of 79.3 percent White, 3.1 percent African American, 1.7 percent Asian, and 12.9 percent Hispanic.
