Income and Poverty in Latah County, Idaho

In Latah County, Idaho White householders had a median income (2005 Dollars) of $38,867 according to the 2000 Dencennial Census, which was 2.1 percent greater than the median household income in 2000. Black or African American headed households had median income levels that were 50 percent less than the overall reported level in 2000, with a reported median of $19,013. In Latah County, Idaho according to the Decennial Census of 2000, 40 percent of the White Alone, 48.4 percent of Black or African American, 81.4 percent of the Asian alone and 32 percent of the Hispanic or Latino population, over the age 25, has achieved a Bachelors Degree or Higher.

Demographic Profile for Latah County, Idaho

Since the year 2000, a high number of individuals have migrated to Latah internationally. The international migration into Latah totals 4.3 percent of immigration into the State of Idaho. This level of international migration can be considered high when analyzed against the base population in the year 2005 and compared to other counties across the US.
