Bloomington-Normal Metro Area industry wages have increased by 13.1% percent since 2001

From 2001 to 2006, average industry wages increased in the Bloomington-Normal Metro Area by a total of 13.1%. This is less than the growth in wages for the State of Illinois and less than the growth in average industry wages for the United States.

Bloomington-Normal Metro Area Industry Wages Lag Behind Illinois, and Wages Lag Behind the United States Industry Wages

The average total wages in all industries in Bloomington-Normal, IL can be understood as being relatively high when analyzed with other 2nd quarter of 2006 Metro Area wages throughout the US. The average pay is 8.5 percent lower than the state, which was reported to be $43,351. The industry pay was less than the overall average in the United States of $40,259.
