Income and Poverty in Bond County, Illinois

Black or African American headed households had a median household income that was 28.4 percent less than the overall median reported in 2000, with a reported median of $31,548. In Bond County, Illinois White headed households reported a median household income (2005 Dollars) of $44,699 according to the 2000 Dencennial Census, which was 1.4 percent greater than the median income in 2000. In terms of total land area, Bond extends a total area of 380 square miles. This area has a low average area density of 47 persons per square mile.
