This group experienced a decline of 44 percent since the year 2000. The &lt;I&gt;White&lt;/I&gt; Race/Ethnicity group has been least impacted by the median income decline in Illinois, encountering a 45.8 percent increase in household income, since the reported levels in 2000.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The households that were headed by an &lt;I&gt;American Indian and Alaska Native&lt;/I&gt; individual in Illinois had a median income of $46,015, which was 15.6 percent less than the areas median level for all households. &lt;I&gt;Black or African American&lt;/I&gt; householders reported household income levels that were 32 percent less than the overall reported level in 2000, with a reported median of $37,088. The &lt;I&gt;Asian&lt;/I&gt; headed households reported median household incomes of $67,080. This median income level is 23.1 percent greater than the all households reported median in the state. The female population in the Illinois have achieved a lower level of higher education &lt;I&gt;(Bachelors Degree or Higher)&lt;/I&gt; than the male population-- 30.6 percent (Men) versus 28  percent (Women).
