Income and Poverty in Rock Island County, Illinois

While household income level experienced a decline from 2000 to 2005 in Rock Island County, Illinois, the Race/Ethnicity category that felt the biggest decline in median income was the American Indian and Alaska Native Race/Ethnicity category. In Rock Island County, Illinois according to the Decennial Census of 2000, 17.8 percent of the White Alone, 7.8 percent of Black or African American, 57 percent of the Asian alone and 7.2 percent of the Hispanic or Latino population (over 25) has obtained a Bachelors Degree or Higher.

Rock Island County, Illinois had an estimated population of 147,808 in 2005. The estimated population has decreased, since the 2000 total population of 149,122. The decline represents a decrease of -0.9 percent.
