Income and Poverty in Benton County, Indiana

It was reported in 2000 that the Asian headed households had median household incomes of $80,145. This household income level is 72.1 percent greater than the reported median for all households in the area. Benton County, Indiana has a population that is made up of 95.5 percent White, 0.5 percent African American, 0.1 percent Asian, and 2.8 percent Hispanic. The area can be described as having a very modest level of racial and ethnic diversity, with 3.4 percent of the population being minorities. This is less than the State of Indiana percent of 14.4.
