The Machine shops and threaded product mfg. industry has lost the largest percent of jobs, losing 79.6 percent of the jobs from the 2nd quarter of 2005 to 2nd quarter of 2006. The losses of the area have declined faster than the industry has seen in the Indiana, where the it saw a gain of 1.5 percent. The losses in the Machine shops and threaded product mfg. industry in Huntington County outpaced the losses of nation as a whole in the industry. In this time period, the nation gained 3.4 percent in terms of employees in the Machine shops and threaded product mfg. industry.

Income and Poverty in Huntington County, Indiana

When measuring the total land area, Huntington spans a total area of 383 square miles. This area has a medium-low average area density of 100 persons per square mile, in 2005.
