Marquette County Five-Year Industry Employment Change

Employment for all industries has increased by 7.2 percent since the 2nd Quarter figures of 2001. This change is less than growth in the State of Michigan, experiencing a loss of -5.7 percent since 2001 ( 2nd Quarter). The gains in the area were greater than than the gain felt at the national level of 2.6 percent.

Income and Poverty in Marquette County, Michigan

The population division of the Census Bureau estimates in 2005 a median age in Marquette County, Michigan to be 38.4 years of age. The median in Marquette is greater than the median age for the State of Michigan of 36.9.
