Demographic Profile for Becker County, Minnesota

The U.S. Census Bureau, in the year 2005, estimated a median age in Becker County, Minnesota to be 39.6 years old. The median in Becker is greater than the median age in Minnesota of 36.7. Since the year 2000, the area has seen no change in the median age, at that time the median was 39.6 years of age. With 23 percent of the population in 2005 being comprised of children and youth younger than 18, Becker can be described as having a medium-low percent of people under 18. The 18 to 64 years old population group has a medium-low presence of the population, with 60.8 percent of the population falling in this age category. The retirement (65 and over) group makes up 16.2 percent of the population in the area.
