Demographic Profile for Beltrami County, Minnesota

Beltrami County, Minnesota has a population that is made up of 76.3 percent White, 0.4 percent African American, 0.9 percent Asian, and 1.2 percent Hispanic. The population mix can be considered to have a very modest level of diversity, with 2.5 percent of the population being minorities. This is less than the State of Minnesota percent of 11.2. Since 2000, Beltrami has increased the level of diversity when 2.0 percent of the total population were minorities.

The U.S. Census Bureau, in the year 2005, estimated a median age in Beltrami County, Minnesota to be 30.9 years of age. The median age in Beltrami is less than the median in Minnesota of 36.7. Since the year 2000, the area has witnessed a decline in the median age, at that time the median was 31.8 years of age.
