Carlton County, Minnesota has a population that is comprised of 91 percent White, 1.2 percent African American, 0.4 percent Asian, and 1 percent Hispanic. The area can be described as having a very modest level of racial and ethnic diversity, with 2.6 percent of the population being minorities. This is less than the State of Minnesota percent of 11.2.
