The &lt;I&gt;Unclassified&lt;/I&gt; industry in Minnesota outpaced the nation in terms of industry employment growth . The income level has &lt;I&gt;&lt;B&gt;decreased&lt;/B&gt;&lt;/I&gt; to $52,024, representing a 5.6 percent &lt;I&gt;&lt;B&gt;decline&lt;/B&gt;&lt;/I&gt;. The State of Minnesota ranks 25 of 46 states when analyzing the &lt;I&gt;&lt;B&gt;decline&lt;/B&gt;&lt;/I&gt; in median household income in the United States.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In the State of Minnesota, &lt;I&gt;White&lt;/I&gt; householders had a median household income (in 2005 Dollars) of $56,497 as reported in 2000 by the census, which was 2.5 percent greater than the median income in 2000. The &lt;I&gt;Asian&lt;/I&gt; headed households reported median household incomes of $53,258. This median is 3.4 percent less than the reported median household income for all households in the state. &lt;I&gt;Black or African American&lt;/I&gt; householders reported a median household income that was 38.6 percent less than the overall median reported in 2000, with a reported median of $33,843. &lt;I&gt;Hispanic&lt;/I&gt; Householders in Minnesotareported a median household income of $42,042, which is 23.7 percent less than reported value of the areas total household median income for all households. The &lt;I&gt;American Indian and Alaska Native&lt;/I&gt; households in Minnesota had a median income of $33,384, this median was 39.4 percent less than the median level for total households in the area.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Evaluated with other States across the nation, the State of Minnesota can be understood to have a very low poverty rate amongst the population, with a poverty rate of 7.9 percent of people living in a family with an income below the poverty level in 1999. This population percent has grown by 3.4 percent to a total of 30.8 percent in 2005. According to the American Community Survey, the proportion of the population in 2005 with a BA or Higher is greater than the national percent of 27.2.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Minnesota has a highly-educated 2005 population, with 30.8 percent of the population over 25 years old having received at least a Bachelors Degree, according to the American Community Survey of 2005. The State of Minnesota counted a higher percent of population with a BA or Higher percent than the average across the nation of 27.2 percent.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Reported by the 2005 American Community Survey in the State of Minnesota, a high proportion of the male population in the area have reached the &lt;i&gt;Bachelors Degree or Higher&lt;/i&gt; category, with 31.8 percent reaching this education level. The female population in the Minnesota have achieved a lower level of higher education &lt;I&gt;(Bachelors Degree or Higher)&lt;/I&gt; than the male population-- 31.8 percent (Men) versus 29.6  percent (Women). The most common level of education for women in the area is &lt;i&gt; Some College or Associates Degree&lt;/i&gt; category, with 33.6 percent of the female population achieving this education level.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Between 2000 and 2005, the percent of the male population that can be understood as highly educated has increased by 2.8 percent. By 2005, 31.8 percent of the total male population, in the area, has obtained at least a Bachelors Degree.
