Income and Poverty in Rice County, Minnesota

Demographic Profile for Rice County, Minnesota

Rice County, Minnesota has a population that is made up of 88.7 percent White, 1.6 percent African American, 1.6 percent Asian, and 7 percent Hispanic. The area population base can be described as having a modest level of diversity in terms of race and ethnicity, with 10.2 percent of the population being minorities. This is less than the State of Minnesota percent of 11.2. Since 2000, Rice has increased the level of diversity when 8.3 percent of the people were minorities.
