Rochester Metro Area industry wages have increased by 13.1% percent since 2001

From 2001 to 2006, average industry wages increased in the Rochester Metro Area by a total of 13.1%. This is less than the growth in wages for the State of Minnesota and less than the growth in industry wages across the US.

Rochester Metro Area Industry Wages Lag Behind Minnesota, but Wages Exceed the United States Industry Wages

The average total wages in all industries in Rochester, MN when analyzed can be understood as being relatively high when compared to other 2nd quarter of 2006 Metro Area wages throughout the nation. The average pay is 0.2 percent lower than the state, which accounted an average of $40,849. The overall industry wage was greater than the national industry average of $40,259.
