Tippah County, Mississippi had an estimated population of 21,212 in 2005. The total population has increased, since the 2000 total population of 20,866. This growth denotes an increase of 1.7 percent. Tippah ranks 31 of 82 counties when analyzing total population change in Mississippi and the county ranks 1,515 of 3,141 counties when analyzing total county population change across the nation.

Tippah County, Mississippi has a population that is made up of 79 percent White, 17 percent African American, 0.1 percent Asian, and 3.3 percent Hispanic.
