Higher Education in Moore County, North Carolina

In Moore County, North Carolina according to the Decennial Census of 2000, 30.6 percent of the White Alone, 6.6 percent of Black or African American, 41.4 percent of the Asian alone and 8.4 percent of the Hispanic or Latino population, over the age 25, has achieved at least a Bachelors Degree.

From 2000, Moore has decreased in the percent of the population that is over the age of 25 with a BA or Higher. This population cohort has declined by 2.6 percent to a total of 24.2 percent in 2005. According to the American Community Survey, the proportion of the population in 2005 with a BA or Higher is less than the State of North Carolina percent of 25.2 and less than the average US percent of 27.2.
