Mecklenburg County, North Carolina is made up of a very highly-educated population, with 37.2 percent of the population (+25) having received at least a Bachelors Degree, as reported in the Decennial Census of 2000. Mecklenburg has a higher percent of the population with at least a Bachelors than the State of North Carolina's proportion of 22.4 percent and a higher percent than United States proportion of 24.4 percent.
