Asheville Metro Area industry wages have increased by 14.8% percent since 2001

From 2001 to 2006, average industry wages increased in the Asheville Metro Area by a total of 14.8%. This is less than the growth in industry wages for North Carolina and less than the growth in industry wages across the US.

Asheville Metro Area Industry Wages Lag Behind North Carolina, and Wages Lag Behind the United States Industry Wages

The average total wages in all industries in Asheville, NC can be described as medium-low when compared to other 2nd quarter of 2006 Metro Area wages throughout the nation. The average pay is 14.6 percent lower than the reported averages in the state of $35,650. The average pay was less than the overall average in the United States of $40,259.
