Income and Poverty in Nemaha County, Nebraska

Nemaha County, Nebraska has a population base that is comprised of 96.9 percent White, 0.4 percent African American, 0.7 percent Asian, and 1.4 percent Hispanic. The area population base can be described as having a very modest level of diversity in terms of race and ethnicity, with 2.5 percent minorities. This is less than the State of Nebraska percent of 12.7. Since 2000, Nemaha has increased the level of diversity when 2.0 percent of the people were minorities.
