Income and Poverty in Passaic County, New Jersey

Higher Education in Passaic County, New Jersey

In Passaic County, New Jersey as reported in the Census of the year 2000, 25.4 percent of the White Alone, 8.6 percent of Black or African American, 48.4 percent of the Asian alone and 7.8 percent of the Hispanic or Latino (+25) population has achieved at least a Bachelors Degree.

Demographic Profile for Passaic County, New Jersey

Estimated since the year 2000, a very high amount of people have migrated to Passaic internationally. The migration from outside the US into Passaic accounts for 8.2 percent of the total international migration into the State of New Jersey. This level of international migration can be considered very high when comparing levels of immigration per population in 2005.

Passaic County, New Jersey had an estimated population of 499,060 in 2005. The total population has increased, since the population in 2000 of 491,080. This growth shows an increase of 1.6 percent. Passaic ranks 14 of 21 counties by growth in total population in New Jersey and the county ranks 372 of 3,141 counties when calculating the total change in county population across the US.
