Higher Education in McKinley County, New Mexico

From the year 2000, Mckinley has increased in the population percent with a Bachelors Degree or Higher. The proportion of the 2005 population having received at least a BA is less than the 2005 State of New Mexico percent of 25.2 and less than the national percent of 27.2.

According to the 2000 Decennial Census in McKinley County, New Mexico, a high proportion of the male population in the area have reached the Less than High School category, with 36.2 percent achieving this level. In the year 2005, the population division of U.S. Census Bureau estimates the median age in Mckinley County, New Mexico to be 28.2 years of age. The median age in Mckinley is less than the median in New Mexico of 36.2. Since the year 2000, the area has witnessed an increase in this median, when at that time it was 27.0 years old. In Mckinley County, Mining, Utilities and Accommodation and food services industries, in terms of United States location quotient, are the most dominant in the region.
