Income and Poverty in Mora County, New Mexico

Demographic Profile for Mora County, New Mexico

In the year 2005, the population division of U.S. Census Bureau estimates the median age in Mora County, New Mexico to be 43.2 years of age. The median in Mora is greater than the median age in New Mexico of 36.2. Since the year 2000, the area has seen an increase in this median, when at that time it was 39.6 years old. With a total of 21.2 percent of the 2005 population being comprised of individuals under the age of 18, Mora can be described as being made up of a medium-low proportion of youths. The 18 to 64 years old population group has a medium-high representation within the estimated 2005 area population, making up 63.1 percent of the population within the age category.
