Income and Poverty in Lincoln County, Nevada

Black or African American householders reported a median household income that was 17.9 percent less than the overall median reported in 2000, with a reported median of $30,713. Hispanic Householders in Lincoln County, Nevada , according to the 2000 census, had a median household income of $26,813, which is 28.3 percent less than the areas median income level for all households. The Asian headed households reported median household incomes of $148,950. This median is 298.1 percent greater than the reported median household income for all households in the area. Higher Education in Lincoln County, Nevada

Lincoln County, Nevada is made up of a moderately-educated working age population, with 15 percent of the population over 25 years old having received at least a Bachelors Degree, according to the Decennial Census of 2000. Lincoln was reported to have a lower percent of population with this high education level than the State of Nevada's proportion of 18.2 percent and a lower percent than the average across the nation of 24.4 percent.

The women in Lincoln have achieved a lower level of higher education (Bachelors or Higher) than men; 18.4 percent (Men) versus 11.6 percent (Women). Many of the women in the area have achieved the High School Diploma category, with 38.6 percent of the women population in the area achieving this level of education.

Since 2000, a medium-low number of individuals have migrated to Lincoln from another country. The international migration into Lincoln makes up 0 percent of the total international migration into the State of Nevada.
