Pershing County, Nevada has a population that is made up of 70.6 percent White, 5.7 percent African American, 0.8 percent Asian, and 19.9 percent Hispanic. The area population base can be described as having a high amount of racial and ethnic diversity, with 26.4 percent minorities. This is less than the State of Nevada percent of 36.2. Since 2000, Pershing has increased the percent of minority population when 25.5 percent of the total population were minorities.
