In Tioga County, jobs in the other wood product manufacturing pay the highest wages

Individuals that are employed in the other wood product manufacturing industry had the highest average wages in Tioga County for the 2nd quarter of 2006. The average worker in the industry in Tioga County received a wage of $63,647 in 2006. The average wage is greater than the average industry wage in the State of New York of $35,491 and greater than then the wage for jobs in this industry in the US of $32,531.

High-wage employment in Tioga County, New York exsists in nonresidential building construction ($52,077), offices of physicians ($43,386), nonmetallic mineral mining and quarrying ($42,844) and sawmills and wood preservation ($40,389) industries. Tioga County Wages have increased by 18.9% Since 2001

From 2001 to 2006, average industry wages increased in Tioga County, New York by a total of 18.9%. This is greater than the growth in wages for the State of New York and greater than the growth in industry wages for the nation as a whole.
