In St. Lawrence County, jobs in the utility system construction pay the highest wages

The average industry job in St. Lawrence County received a wage of $77,483 in 2nd quarter of 2006. The wage rate is greater than the industry pay the State of New York of $62,407 and greater than then the pay for jobs in this industry across the nation of $48,011.

St. Lawrence County Five-Year Percentage Growth in Employment

The Other general merchandise stores industry has seen the largest percentage job growth, expanding by 268.5 percent from the 2001 (Q2) to the 2006 (Q2). Income and Poverty in St. Lawrence County, New York

In St. Lawrence County, New York as reported in the Census of the year 2000, 16.6 percent of the White Alone, 4.2 percent of Black or African American, 63.8 percent of the Asian alone and 4.4 percent of the Hispanic or Latino (+25) population has achieved at least a Bachelors Degree.

St. Lawrence County, New York may to understood as having a moderately-educated population, with 16.4 percent of the over 25 years old population having a Bachelors Degree or Higher, according to the 2000 Decennial Census. Demographic Profile for St. Lawrence County, New York

Since the year 2000, a medium-high amount of people have migrated to St. Lawrence internationally. The migration from outside the US into St. Lawrence makes up 0.1 percent of the total migration into the State of New York. Housing Report for St. Lawrence County, New York

In St. Lawrence County, there were a total of 50,478 housing units in the year 2005. This represents a growth in housing units, adding all together 538 residential units since 2001, or 1.1 percent.
