Columbus Metro Area industry wages have increased by 15.2% percent since 2001

Industry wages, from 2001 to 2006, have increased in the Columbus Metro Area by a total of 15.2%. This is greater than the growth in average industry wages for Ohio and less than the growth in industry wages for the nation as a whole.

Columbus Metro Area Industry Wages Exceed Ohio, but Wages Lag Behind the United States Industry Wages

The overall industry wages in Columbus, OH when analyzed can be understood as being relatively high when analyzed with other 2nd quarter of 2006 Metro Area wages throughout the US. The average pay is 5.6 percent higher than the state, which accounted an average of $36,666. The overall industry wage was less than the national industry average of $40,259.
