Income and Poverty in Guernsey County, Ohio

In Guernsey County, Ohio as reported in the 2000 Census, 10 percent of the White Alone, 6.6 percent of Black or African American, 52.4 percent of the Asian alone and 22 percent of the Hispanic or Latino population, over the age 25, has achieved a Bachelors Degree or Higher.

Guernsey County, Ohio can be considered to have a less-educated 2000 population, with 10 percent of the population over 25 years old having received at least a Bachelors Degree, according to the Decennial Census of 2000. Guernsey counted a lower percent of highly educated individuals than the State of Ohio's proportion of 21 percent and a lower percent than the US proportion of 24.4 percent.
