Income and Poverty in Huron County, Ohio

Higher Education in Huron County, Ohio

Huron County, Ohio is made up of a less-educated population, with 11 percent of the population over 25 years old having received at least a Bachelors Degree, according to the Decennial Census of 2000. Huron has a lower percent of the population with at least a Bachelors than the State of Ohio's proportion of 21 percent and a lower percent than the US proportion of 24.4 percent.

Demographic Profile for Huron County, Ohio

Huron County, Ohio had a total estimated population of 60,385 in 2005. The estimated population has increased, since the 2000 total population of 59,611. This growth shows an increase of 1.3 percent. Huron ranks 37 of 88 counties when calculating total change in population for Ohio and the county ranks 1,216 of 3,141 counties by growth in county population in the United States.
